'THE MEN OF PIPER ALPHA' delivers a unique insight into the world's worst ever offshore Oil and Gas Disaster where 167 men were killed onboard the Piper Alpha Oil Platform back in July 6th, 1988.

Told through the eyes of the victims and their families this docu/drama delivers a highly emotional insight into the effects it still has on so many of their lives 20 years on. Through dramatical reconstruction we relive the horrors of that night with some of the survivors as they were forced to leap some 150ft from the burning Oil Platform through fire and explosions into the unforgiving depths of the North Sea in order to save their own lives.

With never seen before footage of the disaster and the rescue missions, along with compelling interviews from survivors, families and victims who have never spoken before, this documentary/drama provides a unique insight into the real devastation caused by this tragedy and the impact it still has on so many people's lives today.
